Landfill Diversion
Waste diversion or landfill diversion is the process of diverting waste from landfill and is typically measured through weight. It can occur through recycling, regiving or biological treatment. All Milliken plants operate with a goal of 100% diversion or zero waste to landfill. The company has maintained zero waste from carpet manufacturing since 1999. Worldwide, Milliken diverts more than 99% of its solid waste?less than 1% is landfilled.
