Corporate sustainability report
The corporate sustainability report is a method for an organisation to demonstrate transparency and accountability beyond the traditional domain of financial performance. This has come about because there is an increased public expectation for organisations and industries to take responsibility for their non-financial impacts, including impacts on the environment and the community. The Global Reporting Initiative (www.globalreporting.org), which is recognised by the United Nations Environment Programme, provides advice, a sustainability reporting framework and guidelines for organisations to disclose their sustainability performance. These are applicable to organisations of any size, type, sector or geographic region.
