The Knowledge Library team is excited to introduce the new and improved Knowledge Library search functionality. What does this new development mean for you? You spend less time searching for content and more time reading and enjoy the content. You now have the ability of customizing your search by title, access level, content type and much more.
Get Started
1. There are three ways to get to the new filtering/sorting search functionality. Go to Knowledge Library homepage, click on any of these three tabs - Recently Added, By Competency or By Industry to open the new menu.
(see image below)
2. The new and improved menu can search by:- Title/Keyword New
- Content Type
- Access Level
- Category
- Difficulty Reviewed New
- Sort by/Then By
3. How do these filter/sort fields work?Once you enter information in any of the fields, the search immediately reduces the number of content pieces shown based on your entry. That means that every filter you add "stacks" on top of any information previously entered. Example:- If you go to the "Recently Added" tab in the Knowledge Library (but do not enter information into any of the filtering fields), you are shown the total number of resources in the library: EX: Total Documents: 776.-If you then enter the keyword Leadership in the Title/keyword search field, the number of Total Documents immediately reduces to 303.
- You can then further filter the results by selecting one of the other fields. Say, you only want to see "beginner" content with the keyword "leadership", then you select Difficulty Level: Beginner and the search results would be reduced to 98.- Additionally, you can sort your results by Downloads in Ascending/Descending order and the list of results will be reordered with the most-downloaded content piece appearing in the first spot.We hope you find this new function to be useful and time-saving. Your support and engagement helps us improve the library and make it a true success and valuable resource for FM professionals.
