(1) An organizational activity that is ongoing in nature. They are rarely thought of as having beginnings and endings on specific dates as projects are. Programs often serve as the organizational home for most projects. (2) A set of commands, written in computer language, that instruct a computer to perform a task or series of tasks. In space planning, a document that defines user needs for space and facilities that will support their daily tasks. (3) A plan that lays out all the steps in proper sequence to a single-use plan, often a one-time business project. (4) A series of individual projects that share a common goal.
