general partnership

A form of business organization in which two or more co-owners carry on a business for profit and who share the resulting profits and losses. A partnership agreement controls matters of internal governance. Any partner can bind the partnership on matters of partnership business, and all partners are personally liable for the partnership?s tort and contractual obligations.
