In June 2008 the ACCC issued a note, Carbon claims and the Trade Practices Act, which outlined what companies could claim about being carbon neutral and carbon offsetting. The ACCC has made it clear it is keeping an eye on businesses that make unjustifiable environmental claims. www.accc.gov.au
